Provided aid during Sri Lanka crisis

How we helped

During the economic crisis in Sri Lanka in 2022 and 2023, many necessities became difficult to source and more expensive. We decided to try and help the local population by providing basic supplies. We chose our Coir Products supplier, M C Enterprises, to select needy people and institutions located near their factory and distribute food parcels and medical supplies funded by the Foundation. Two donations and subsequent distributions were made in July 22 and again in March 23. Food parcels were given to 350 families for 3 months, medical supplies to a rural hospital, a cancer ward and to pregnant women in the area.
